Charge Amps is a Swedish growth company that develops and manufactures smart, user-friendly charging solutions for electric vehicles, with design at the forefront.

Charge Amps supplies both the hardware and software for optimised charging of electric cars. Charge Amps is a Swedish company with OK (Economic Association) and Skellefteå Kraft as co-owners.

In 2012, Charge Amps’ founder Fredrik Jonsson was one of the early purchasers of an electric car. He was not alone in recognising that a sustainable future requires a transition from a dependency on fossil fuel for transport, but he was one of the more impatient ones. His sense of frustration that a high-tech car had to be charged using chargers that were anything but intelligent, with a choice of materials that was anything but sustainable, made him start manufacturing his own charging cables from his kitchen table in Sollentuna. That was the start of a growth trajectory.
